Woodhall Spa to Saxilby (21miles, 2 locks)

So, work's finished and we're off!

Ok Lister, we won't force you to wear it, just thought it would be good on the river bits.  Or like today, you could just stay inside....

Leaving Woodhall Spa a couple of weeks earlier, the water level had gone down so far, it would have been possible to make sandcastles!  We hopped back up the Witham a little at a time, whilst still working so comuting wasn't an issue.

The lady at Bardney gave Lister quiet a fright the first time he saw her!  She is beautifully carved, but in the halflight, fairly scary!

Going back to the boat....ok then one last play with the ball

Richard's brother Kevin, steering the motor to Washingborough, whilst longlining the butty.

Richard's dad, Sam steering the butty.

Love this sculpture, ears of corn made of stainless steel

Continuing work on the old station house at Washingborough, looks expensive but will be worth it in the end!

After a short stay at Washingborough and my last day at work yesterday, Richard took the boats to Lincoln whilst I took the car for a summer holiday with his parents!

I met up with Richard after a train journey taking me to Lincoln and a brisk walk to Stamp End lock.  We saw our friends on their boat moored at Lincoln, Ifor and Lea,  http://nbabigailjenna.blogspot.co.uk/
and continued on to the water point beyond the University.

What a miserable day of drizzle and horribleness, but there we are at journey's end for a couple of days, until we find out if the Trent is behaving and is open for visitors next week.....
