Day 10 ~ 5 miles and 9 locks

Day 10 of our seemingly endless endurance test of a journey from Norbury Junction in Staffordshire to Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire for the annual festival.

Setting off early again, from just before Pitstone Wharf, I walked the dogs whilst Richard steered the boat with the butty breasted to it.

On our way to Marsworth Junction, we spied this lovely cottage

And off we go the try to get moored on the summit somewhere

Historic narrowboat Holland languishes at Bulbourne workshops where lock gates were manufactured until 2004.

Tring Cutting

Failing to be able to moor at the railway station, we compromised by mooring further on before Cowroast Marina.  The intention was to cycle into Tring the following day to view the auction lots and then bid on Saturday.  We changed our minds and decided (in the morning) to travel on towards Berkhamsted to trade for the weekend.....

Journey remaining ~ 15 miles and 39 locks
