After a very wet but not disappointing trading weekend at Norbury Junction, the big push to Rickmansworth begins....
6pm Monday evening, we set off just as the heavens opened again!
We slowly pass the convoy of moored trading boats (on the right) on our bid to get the first stage of our journey done..
Entering the village of Gnosall
Quite wet again...
But then, a complete double rainbow appeared. An awesome sight, just a shame I couldn't get my phone to take it as one picture. ('Panorama' setting was a bit of a disaster!)
The end of our evening in Wheaton Aston, where we moored after filling the water tank once more. (These people who have new washing machines!)
Up through the lock at 6am and we were soon at Brewood and Avenue Bridge again.
Around Autherley Junction and through the narrows. I collect a plate from the verge after Richard has finished his bacon butty. The range has been on all day, so I have been able to supply drinks and food when necessary.
Approaching Coven and the Land and Water workmen again doing a good job of reinstating the offside bank
Soon we were in Penkridge, quite tired but looking forward to getting the rest of the locks out of the way
Our mooring tonight, (at 6.30pm) before the Moat House, Acton Trussell within earshot of the M6!
Our voyage continues tomorrow for another 12 hour shift....
Journey remaining ~ 150 miles and 106 locks
